San Francisco Ballet/ Ford shoot

These two are totally new to the game. I was their first photographer since they got discovered about 2 weeks ago. Sean ( the dancer) is with the San Francisco Ballet, and Vincent got discovered by an agent while walking the Streets of San Francisco.. What a way to start your first shoot... it rained, it poured, it was freezing.. but one way or another the shoot had to happen. Both guys gave it their all, and from this experience I can say I love new models.. they want to make it so they take direction and give 100%.. so from now on ballet dancers and new faces rock!!! I hope I'll get to shoot more.  I've always wanted to shoot one and I jumped at the chance to shoot Sean.

Also big thanks to my team for that day! My makeup artist: Bara, and Photo assistant : Jason Ng

Sean: For Sean's shoot I remember him telling me in the morning about the current production of Swan Lake that the troop is working on.. so I decided to take that and twist it a bit for the movement scenes . For a dancer nothing works better than having them move..

Vincent: He needed clean and simple.. I decided to use a strobe to add  a little edginess . Note all shots were done mainly with one profoto head and back with reflector only, and to accompany that a 28-70 mm lens and an 85 mm prime.. and the camera of choice  my trust Nikon d80

william - the shots are incredible....i especially love the archival quality of sean's shots - it's as though they were taken in the 1950's. beautiful work....r
